Welcome to a website dedicated to our best friends with fur! Please feel free to browse and enjoy all my work at your leisure. I love doing portraits of all animals, creating them from your snapshots with your input. Much of what I charge (and you'll be surprised at how reasonable it is!) goes to animal rescue, particularly to support my chosen breed of dog, the American Cocker Spaniel...though I love them all, and am constantly awed at their varied beauty! Isn't it amazing how different they can look, in size and in kind--and yet still be the loyal and true friend we know so simply as "a dog"? Here is one very special Golden Retriever....Cameo Electroglide in Gold. Harley.

The first thing people want to know is: how is this done? How can I commission a portrait? Well, I have added a page that shows you exactly how. It is the history of the beautiful canvas portrait above. Go to "HOW ITS DONE" on the left, or click here: http://www.furbabiesbysue.com/howitsdone.htm

To preview all 12 months, please go the "Calendars and Albums" page and check out "2010 Calendar."
This calendar features all of the winners of the Life's Little Paws raffle, and ALL PROFITS go directly to this wonderful rescue organization.

IN MEMORY OF BANDIT...a very special memory, and thanks so much, Ben and Karen, for letting me share your portrait on my website.
My "Rainbow Bridge" series has captured the imagination of many of you who have lost your best friend, and I find it an honor when I am asked to memorialize these special furbabies. In some of these portraits, a collage is created including you with your furbaby. This is one of them.

Now pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea (or a glass of wine, its 5:00 somewhere) and do come in and enjoy the artwork on the following pages...
You've entered a world where your pet, and your other loved ones as well, can become fine art for your home. Your portrait by Furbabies by Sue can become a fine print on art paper, or a finished canvas or giclee that can be hung with or without a frame. And you'll be amazed at how affordable this art is.
Because of a very few unscrupulous people, I have found it necessary to add this copyright notice: ALL portraits on this website are protected by copyright and are NOT to be copied without my permission. I myself will grant permission only with the approval of the person who bought and paid for the portrait in question. That portrait belongs to them and them alone.
And I had better not catch anyone running a puppy mill EVER using one of my works for promotional purposes or there will be legal consquences! I do this work because I love these animals and their people, and I cannot tolerate the abuse and heartlessness by persons who take advantage of these wonderful innocent creatures for their own gain.
And if you agree and would like to help with the RESCUE of these wonderful creatures, please see my RESCUE ME page. Thank you!
